 How much will this cost?

Cougar Clinics are $500 per session

How many girls can attend?

We ask for a minimum of 12 girls, but we can do up to 30?

What equipment do we need?

Each girl should have her own water, stick, mouth guard and goggles. (extra sticks and goggles can be provided)

Cougars will bring goals, cones, balls, goalie equipment if needed.

Where are the clinics located?

The cougar clinic is designed to come to your high school to make it easy for your entire team to attend. If your school is not able to provide a field Coach Smith can work with your coach to find an alternate location.

When do the clinics start?

They can be scheduled starting September 21st. Clinics can be held on school days directly after school or on Saturdays. We recommend at least one clinic in the fall to get everyone thinking about the season and to create unity. Then follow up clinics in Spring before the season begins to focus on strengths and prepare for games. It is important to schedule these soon, because slots will fill up.

* BYU will play Westminster at 5 pm Friday October 30th at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Admission is free, we ask you to bring a canned food to donate. Following the game BYU will be hosting a free clinic.

What if we don’t have a coach?

You’re not alone, with women’s lacrosse growing at rapid rates; there are a lot of teams in this same position. As long as a parents is willing to gather the girls together Cougar Clinics are a great way to keep the interest and excitement of women’s lacrosse going in between coaches.

Coach Smith also offers additional lessons for new coaches struggling to understand the game. Coach Smith can work with you on learning how to coach high school girls lacrosse and develop a collection of drills to use during practices.
